Features Cloud computing is an information technology that allows services and storages to be provided over the Internet. This Internet-based computing can let all personal devices access Internet to perform the functions that were traditionally done with software installed on an individual computer. CCCDC is currently constructing reliable and high performance cloud servers to provide the following cloud services: (1) Web based presentation (2) Unique user interface on different platforms (3) Data/file transfer service over cloud environments (4) Web, BBS, E-mail and multimedia messenger services (5) Multimedia database (6) Audio/Video stream service. |
Current activities Recently, CCCDC and Microsoft Innovation Center cooperate on cloud computing and focus on indigenous cultural issues. Microsoft Innovation Center is knowledgeable on advanced technology of cloud computing. Through the cooperations, CCCDC will design and construct a digital platform for the indigenous culture, so that the indigenous culture can be kept and stored, and reproduced for new valued applications. This project will also involve the College of Indigenous Studies, National Dong Hwa University, and the National Museum of Prehistory, Taiwan. |
